Prayagraj: Nearly two years after its formation, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has issued its first recruitment advertisement, inviting applications for 111 principal posts in aided co-educational and women’s degree colleges.The recruitment process, under Advertisement No. 02/2016, began on Tuesday. Candidates can apply online through the One-Time Registration (OTR) system, commission deputy secretary Sanjayasti said.The deadline for submitting applications and making corrections is Aug 23, while the examination is scheduled for Sept 24.Of the 111 vacancies, 39 are for principals of aided co-educational degree colleges and 22 for women’s degree colleges. Details of the remaining posts are provided in the advertisement. The commission said the number of vacancies could change.Candidates have been advised to read the detailed advertisement on the commission’s official website. It includes information on key dates, application fees, vacancies, age limit, pay scale, eligibility criteria and the examination scheme.The application fee is Rs 3,000 for general, unreserved, OBC and EWS candidates, and Rs 2,000 for SC, ST and persons with disabilities (PwD).The maximum age limit is 62 years as on July 1, 2026. The commission has also uploaded user manuals in Hindi and English, along with a training video, to guide candidates through the online application process.
